Board of Advisors
The Board of Advisors advances the objectives of the School of Business and its students by serving as a resource to the Dean regarding strategic planning, positioning and resource development for the School of Business, and by enhancing students' prospects for success in the global business environment.
The Board of Advisors develops and supports the connection between the School of Business and the professional business community by:
- Identifying and articulating key issues and trends that are currently important in business
- Providing a professional perspective and orientation regarding the competencies that students should develop in order to succeed in the business environment
- Generating experiential learning opportunities, internships, and mentoring relationships for School of Business students
- Offering insight and feedback about the strategic direction of the School of Business.
Further, they communicate with business, nonprofit and governmental leaders in New Jersey and the nation about the strengths of the School of Business and The College of New Jersey, by participating in activities designed to promote the School and The College. Information for members of the Dean's Board of Advisors can be viewed here.
Business Student Advisory Board (BSAB)
The Business Student Advisory Board, which was formed in the Fall of 2005, consists of (up to) two representatives from each student organization within the SOB, and meets monthly during the academic year. The students are our primary stakeholders. The purpose of this council is to involve students in the short and long-range planning processes of the School of Business.
Small Business Development Center (SBDC)
The Small Business Development Center provides services to small businesses in all industries including technology, manufacturing, retail, service, wholesale and international trade. Every year the TCNJ SBDC counsels over 600 established and start-up businesses and trains approximately 2,000 business people with information seminars and hands-on management workshops.
