National Constitution Center - Year round internships available
The National Constitution Center, located on Philadelphia's Independence Mall, is the first museum in the world dedicated to honoring and explaining the US Constitution through more than 100 interactive & multi-media exhibits, artifacts, and film. The Center also houses the Annenberg Center for Education and Outreach, which serves as a hub for national constitutional education, debates, teacher resources, and as a home for visiting scholars and experts.
To promote diversity within the museum profession, the National Constitution
Center offers the Hans & Susan Lyall Utsch Internship for ten
weeks each summer to a minority student to work on exhibits and programming.
Internship includes a stipend of $3,000 plus small travel account.
Internship is open to recently graduated undergraduates and graduate
students.
- Ability to communicate well, orally & in writing.
- Computer Skills (Basic Microsoft Office).
- Interest in history or political science and future museum work.
- Ability to work well in teams.
- Previous experience working with the public or in research is a plus.
- MUST be available for the full ten weeks in the summer (May-September).
- BA or BS degree required.
