Meditation/Adoration
When: Monday 7:30 - 8:30 pm; Friday 12:00 - 1:00 pm Where: Spiritual Center What: Students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to pray Before the Blessed Sacrament in the small chapel at the Spiritual Center during the hour starting Monday at 7 pm or Friday at noon. The ancient Catholic discipline of meditation is described at the top of the hour. Then, as a group, we meditate and contemplate in silence utilizing the “4 rungs” of the “Ladder of the Monks” as the description of the movements in quiet prayer before God. Students are taught to utilize St. Ignatius of Loyola’s “Application of the Senses” to actively engage Scripture in meditation in this amazing way to grow closer to God in the silence.
