This past semester, students in two of Ellen Friedman's English classes interviewed Holocaust survivors as part of an ethnography project. The experience gave the students a better understanding of the Holocaust, and also served as a means for the survivors to pass their stories on to a new generation.

Last fall, the Department of Physics installed a weather station on the roof of the Science Complex. Since then, the station has been continuously recording a full range of meteorological data, which is used by students in the School of Science as well as by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration in developing forecasting models. 
For students in the School of Business, learning doesn’t stop when they walk out of the classroom. The school offers its students numerous opportunities to take part in out-of-class business competitions. These activities provide students with the chance to test their newly acquired skills and knowledge by attempting to solve real-world problems. 
Football coach Eric Hamilton ’75 is a finalist for the Liberty Mutual Coach of the Year Award; the athletics department is honored for winning the New Jersey Athletic Conference Blood Drive Challenge; and individual and team honors abound for the fall sports programs.
