Tom Green

My name is Tom Green, and I am currently a senior majoring in Chemistry.  The areas that I am particularly interested in pursuing are organic and analytical chemistry.  Upon graduating, I would like to work in an environment that allows me to further explore these areas, and then I would like to ultimately obtain my Ph.D. in the field I enjoy most.  I am a PERSIST scholar, and this scholarship has enabled me to fully immerse myself in all that TCNJ has to offer, including mentoring and connecting with faculty.  In general, the Chemistry Department at TCNJ provides a unique atmosphere in which students and faculty are able to interact on a more personal level.  My most memorable experiences at TCNJ are participating in Independent Research with both Dr. Allison and Dr. Chan.   My research experiences have allowed me to make the connection between materials covered in the classroom and real life scenarios.  I truly feel that my degree in chemistry, along with my experiences at TCNJ, will enable me to have an impact on the future.
