Mr. Byrne is an Assistant Professor, of the department. He teaches Television Production, Film and Television Theory and Criticism, Lighting, and Design for Film and Television. Professor Byrne holds a Master of Fine Arts Degree from the Drama School of Carnegie Mellon University. Prior to teaching at The College of New Jersey, he made a twelve-year career in Television, Film, and Stage Production in New York, London, and Dublin. He has authored two books: Production Design for Television (Focal Press, 1992) and Power in the Eye: An Introduction to Contemporary Irish Film (Scarecrow Press, 1997).
