Dr. Anntarie L. Sims is an Associate Professor specializing in interpersonal communication. She received her B.A. from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor and her M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin. She teaches Interpersonal Communication, Basic and Advanced Public Speaking, Small Group Communication, Introduction to Speech Communication, Organizational Leadership, Intercultural Communication, and Inter-Gender. In the past, Dr. Sims served on several community boards, including the Trenton Urban League and the Trenton YWCA. Currently, she is the Board Chair for the Mercer County Head Start Child Development Program and the All College Disciplinary Board at TCNJ. In her free time she serves on the editorial board for the New Jersey Journal of Communication and is the treasurer for the National Communication Association African American Communication and Culture Division of the Black Caucus. In addition, she has reviewed several interpersonal and intercultural communication textbooks. Dr. Sims offers communication workshops throughout the tri-state area and is a consultant for Educational Testing Service. Lastly, Dr. Sims is a financially active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated..
