Current Projects
Capital Projects:
New Art and IMM Building: Landscaping and general site cleanup will occur now during the next few months in the fall. The interior is moving right along with drywall being completed. Painting and all finishes are underway and will continue now through November. Details regarding moving from Holman Hall are now being ironed out. Project looks positive for a January occupancy.
Decker Hall Renovation: The bulk of this project is to replace all the bathrooms with new. All demolition work is completed and the replacement of heating and water lines has begun. Project remains on schedule.
1968 Swing Space: This project is to make space for the current occupants of the one story wing of Forcina. The project remains on schedule for a winter break occupancy. The occupants of the one story wing of Forcina will be moved over during the winter break. This will set up for the next project which is to demolish the one story wing and replace it with a new Education Building.
Active Asset Renewal Projects:
Kendall Roof Replacement: The bulk of the roof work is completed and the fascias and soffits are just about done. This project is a bit behind due to weather and waiting for material deliveries. Revised schedule has the project completed now in November.
Admin. Services Building: Foundation water proofing is completed and the roof is generally complete. Project is just about in close out.
Campus Selective Sidewalk Replacements: Project is completed and closed out.
Loser Building Water Proofing: This project consists of removal of the Loser back patio and rebuilding it to provide proper drainage along with selective foundation waterproofing. The projects revised schedule is to finish this by the end of October.
Music Building Water Proofing: This project consists of waterproofing section of the existing foundations to eliminate water intrusion that has been occurring. Work is underway and should be completed in November.
Packer Pool Roof Replacement: Project is underway and should be completed by the end of October.
Science Complex and Biology Building Air Balancing Project : This project consists of balancing the exhaust and supply air of the entire complex in order to have a certified air balancing report. Work on this very challenging project is progressing very well. Revised project schedule has this project being closed out in November 2009.
Visitors Press Box Removal: Bids have been received and the projects kick off has been scheduled. Removal of the press box is scheduled for the week of October 26th.
