Our School is a culturally and intellectually diverse and welcoming community. 
The School of Culture and Society will become The School of Humanities and Social Sciences on July 1, 2011.
Our faculty closely mentor each of their students because our School is a place where every student has a name, not a number. 
Whether through internships or faculty mentored research, community-engaged learning opportunities or study abroad, our students have numerous opportunities to participate in deeply engaging experiential learning.
Every year students in our School are recognized for extraordinary accomplishments. 
Our faculty are extraordinary teacher-scholars. 
Our alumni are extraordinarily accomplished. 
Students in our school have access to pre-med advising. You'd be surprised to know how many students major in Psychology or English and go on to Medical School! The Pre-Med advisor for students with majors in the humanities or social sciences is Dr. Leynes of the Psychology Department. 
Many students in our school go on to law school. We have an excellent pre-law advising program. The Pre-Law Advisors are Dr. Fair, of the Political Science Department, and Professor Roberts of the Department of Philosophy and Religion. Dr. Roberts does herself hold the J.D. (law school degree).
