Research assistant duties include:

  • Training to conduct structured interviews about relationships qualities
  • Training to transcribe interviews
  • Training in narrative coding and analyses
  • Conducting interviews (data collection)
  • Developing reliable and valid narrative coding systems
  • Transcribing and Coding interviews
  • Helping to plan new research protocols
  • Training to manage an ongoing research project
  • Learning/conducting data analyses
  • Learning to communicate research through written and oral presentations.
  • Conducting library research on various topics, such narrative analysis, dating aggression, power, anger and rejections sensitivity in adolescent romantic relationships
