The Department of Special Education, Language & Literacy offers a program that prepares students to be teachers of students with disabilities.  This five-year program, featuring a double major with dual certification, culminates in a masters degree in special education and NJ teaching certificates.

The program meets the standards and requirements of:

  • National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE)
  • State of New Jersey teacher education
  • Council for Exceptional Children (CEC)
