Teacher Education Program Council (TEPC)

What is TEPC?

TEPC is part of TCNJ's governance structure and is specifically concerned with policy and curriculum for the preparation of school professionals.

In truth, TEPC's name is misleading. This group does not serve a purely advisory capacity as its name might imply.

In fact, TEAC meets a minimum of twice each month in a policy-making capacity, providing leadership and direction for the entire Professional Education Unit.   TEPC makes recommendations to the Committee on Academic Programs (CAP) concerning nature, structure, standards, requirements, and practices in Teacher Education.

Who serves on TEPC?

TEPC is chaired by the Dean of Education and consists of faculty from all professional education programs, undergraduate and graduate candidates in the programs, and other college administrators associated with or supportive of programs that prepare school professionals.
