Jess Row

Jess Row received his MFA in creative writing from the University of Michigan in 2001. He is the author of "The Train to Lo Wu," a collection of short stories, which was shortlisted for the 2006 PEN/Hemingway Award. His fiction has appeared in many literary journals, including Ploughshares, Ontarior Review,and Harvard Review, and has been included twice in The Best American Short Stories (2001 and 2003). He has also won a Pushcart Prize, a Whiting Writers' Award, and an NEA fellowship in fiction. His essays regularly appear in the online newsmagazine Slate.
