Physiological Systems Laboratory

The Physiological Systems Laboratory at TCNJ features state-of-the-art human data acquisition and signal analysis and processing hardware and software to complement theoretical study of biomedical engineering systems analysis and modeling. The laboratory is equipped with four BIOPAC Student Lab data acquisition systems and a variety of physiological sensors and transducers. The laboratory provides students with the capability to measure and analyze biopotentials such as electroencephalography, electrocardiography and electromyography. Flow, temperature and pressure transducers allow for study and analysis of pulmonary and cardiovascular function. The BIOPAC software provides analysis tools for digital filtering, integration, differentiation, FFT, convolution, correlation, and other biosignal processing options.

The Physiological Systems Laboratory facility serves as an instructional laboratory as well as a general purpose laboratory for faculty and undergraduate student projects and research.
