Dear Dr. Facas,

Thank you so much for all the help and encouragement you and the Engineering Department have given our daughter, Emily, over the past three years. We feel she could not possibly receive a better education anywhere else.

To show our gratitude and appreciation we are enclosing a check to the Engineering Department. Please use these funds in whatever way would be most appropriate and beneficial.

Once again, our most sincere thanks,

Sincerely,

Dr. & Mrs. Roger L. Paetzell,

(10/31/2005)

Dear Dr. Facas,

It is with great pleasure that I write you this letter. My wife and I were unable to attend the Senior Project I & II Presentations on Friday May 3, 2002 due to our busy work schedules. Obviously, we missed an impressive event. Thank goodness our daughter Jodie made a video, which we were able to enjoy. The Micro-Oscillating Reflective Surface (SPII) segment, presented by Jeffrey Hicks, Thomas Krol, and Joseph Petrella, Jr. was simply superb. Their presentation was clear, easy to follow, well thought out, and technically sound, with the right amount of emphasis on feasibility and marketability. Quite evident to me that each had devoted many man-hours to the task. Although we didn't see any of the other presentations, we would be hard pressed not to believe they too were outstanding.

I am an E&I engineer with design expenses in pilot plant facilities and prototype hardware. More times than not, the best of projects are won or lost during the presentation stage. It is refreshing to see such exceptional talent on the way. TCNJ, School of Engineering is doing an excellent job preparing our young men and women for the challenges surely awaiting them in the workplace.  It was apparent to me that the engineering faculty of TCNJ had spent a lot of man-hours as well. Believe me, it shows. You can be and should be proud of your efforts. We congratulate you and your staff for a job well done. We are looking forward to graduation and the opportunity to meet the senior class as well as you and your faculty.

Thanks again for all your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.

Sincerely,
Francis B. Hicks, P.E (5/6/02)

Dear Dr. Facas,

It was five years ago that we visited to learn about Trenton State's Engineering School. We were impressed with the new facility (boxes still unpacked!) and knew this was the right school for T.J.  What we didn't know about was the individual attention and genuine caring he would receive for the next five years.

Being an engineering student has been challenging, difficult, frustrating at time, enlightening and mostly wonderful!  T.J. has learned so much and has enjoyed his experience will all of you immensely. You have an extraordinary teaching staff and each of your professors has brought something unique to T.J.'s education. He is so fortunate to be learning from people who care about their students and encourage them to work hard towards their goals.

The Baja Buggy project has been a particular highlight. T.J. has learned so much from being part of the team, working so closely with Dr. Chang and Dr. Asper. We fell so privileged to observe the Senior Project Presentations and were amazed at the Knowledge and enthusiasm the students showed. It was wonderful to see the young men and women as professionals ready to take on the world.

We couldn't ask for a better experience for our son and we want you each to know how much we appreciate the outstanding education and personal care he has received at The College of New Jersey. Thank you so much.

John and Kim Christman (1/19/01)
