The "Armstrong Scholarship Award" has been developed to provide four incoming ENGINEERING freshmen a:

  1. $1,000.00 scholarship for the first year.

  2. scholarship to be awarded on a competitive, non-need basis.

To be considered for the award, the incoming freshman student must:

  1. be admitted to The College of New Jersey in the Department of Engineering.

  2. be nominated (by letter of recommendation) by either the candidate’s high school principal, guidance counselor, science teacher, or math teacher.

  3. submit a letter indicating the applicant's involvement in social and technical activities.

If you are interested in applying, have your recommendation letter and letter of interest submitted by March 15 to:
