OVERNIGHT TRIP TO THE SOUTH END OR WSR FRONTEIR CAMP

Take a trip down to the south end of camp at Searing Site or across the lake to our frontier camp sites Jim Bowie and Kit Carson. Eat in the Dining Hall and leave after dinner, or take your food with you and cook out over an open fire! Bring your own tent or make a shelter of natural materials for Wilderness Survival Merit Badge! If you don't have your own tent, the Scoutcraft area will be happy to loan you a tent for the night.

OVERNIGHT PORTAGE TO SPLIT ROCK RESEVOIR

Depart the waterfront before dinner and head to the south end of the lake. Lift your canoes out of the water and carry them a short distance to Split Rock Resevoir. Winnebago has special permission to use the fabulous facility. Canoe around the resevoir and pick an ISLAND to call home for the night. Start a fire, cook your dinner, and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you. After a night under the stars it's time to pack up and paddle back to camp. This outpost is a fantastic opportunity to get away and enjoy nature that is always well received by scouts and adult leaders alike!
