Fall & Spring Internship Program:

  • PHASE 1 : Students take one "key course" along with electives
  • PHASE 2 : The internship begins and is supported by a seminar, International Internship Course (IIC), which allows students to analytically enhance and contextualize the internship experience. Group work with fellow students in the internship program, presentations, and written assignments combine to assemble a portfolio and final report for each individual internship experience.  Students may also choose to focus on a service-learning experience or a research experience, or they may take additional academic courses for credit.

Summer Internship Program:

Summer study program includes one "Key Course" and one elective.  The summer internship program incorporates a two-week introduction course and a 6-, 8-, or 10-week internship.  Summer internships are available in the same fields offered during the Fall and Spring semesters and also include the internship seminar.

Key & Elective Courses :

London itself is an extensive educational resource, and utilizing that resource is one of the best ways to enhance the knowledge students gain in the classroom. For this reason, the Student Life Office works closely with faculty to create comprehensive co-curricular calendars to coincide with the subject matter. Co-curricular activities vary by course, and can include:

  • Visits to museums & galleries
  • Theater excursions
  • Visits to Parliament
  • Visits to finance organizations (such as the Bank of England and Bloomberg)
  • Excursions to Cambridge, Oxford, Bath & Stonehenge

Please note that the availability of TCNJ approved key & elective courses are based upon student enrollment and faculty availability. Not all courses are available during the summer session.
