TRAVEL & SAFTEY

Ensuring the health and saftey of students while studying abroad is a top priority at TCNJ. Therefore, it is highly recommended that students do their research and take the appropriate steps to ensure their health and saftey while abroad.

Documentation and Emergency Preparation:

1) You should already have your passport, if not, apply immediately

2) Read your acceptance material and determine if you need a visa as soon as you have been accepted or as otherwise instructed in your acceptance material.

3) Understand program policies and what the program includes and does not include

4) Make financial preparations

5) Obtain travel documents

6) Plan how to get in touch while abroad

7) Plan what to do in case of emergency and read Risk Factors and Strategies to Reduce Risk

8) Complete a data file (Do you know what a data file is?)

9) Students who need it should obtain an International Student Identity Card (ISIC)
