The Department of Counselor Education at The College of New Jersey is accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) in the following program areas: Community Counseling and School Counseling.

The School Counseling option (CPSA) will qualify students for New Jersey state certification in Student Personnel Services (school counseling) at the elementary and secondary levels and Pennsylvania state certification in School Counseling at the elementary and secondary levels.
