New Student Award Opportunities

A limited number of competitive awards will be available for new, full-time students who enroll in a full course load at our summer sites in Mallorca, Bangkok, or Johannesburg for Summer 2009.

Awards will range in amount from $400-$700 per award winner.

Rotary Foundation Ambassadorial Scholarship

Academic-Year, Multi-Year, and Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarships are available for scholars who would be excellent ambassadors in advancing understanding, goodwill and peace during their stay abroad.  Applicants must have completed two years of university or college course work, or must have a secondary school education and have been employed in a recognized vocation for at least two years when the scholarship begins. 

Awards will range in amount from $12,000-$25,000 per award winner.

Rotary Grants for University Teachers

Rotary Grants for University Teachers are available to higher educaiton faculty to teach at universities or colleges in low-income countries for 3-5 ($14,000) and 6-10 ($25,000) month terms.

Rotary World Peace Fellowships

The Rotary Centers for International Studies in peace and conflict resolution offer individuals commited to such ideals the opportunity to pursue a master's degree in international studies, sustainable development, peace studies, and conflict resolution at one of seven Rotary Center university partners.

Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor of Arts or equivalent, minimum three years work experience in a relevant field, proficiency in more than one language, and a demonstrated commitment to international understanding and peace.
