Common Commands used on the old ListProc Email System
Note: all commands should be sent to listproc@list.tcnj.edu Leave the subject line blank and simply put the correct command (from the lists below) in the body of the email). One command per email.
For the complete list of all ListProc commands, send an email with the command HELP in the body (do not place anything in subject header). You will receive an automatic response listing the email commands for the ListProc system.
LIST OWNERS
- Delete a member from a list - Delete listname listpassword member-email-address
- example: delete testlist-L password helpdesk@tcnj.edu
- Change the password of a list - configuration listname listpassword password newpassword
- example: configuration testlist-L currentpassword password newpassword
LIST USERS
- Find out what lists you own:
- Send an email with the command which-owned in the body. You'll get an automatic response listing the email lists you own on the ListProc system.
- Get a list of available lists:
- Send an email with the command list in the body.
- Unsubscribe from a list you're on:
- Send an email with the command unsubscribe listname (where "listname" is the name of the list, including the -L)
- Find out what lists you're on:
- Send an email with the command which. You'll get an automatic response listing the email lists on the ListProc system that you're on. Note: this list will not include email lists on the new MailMan system to which you're subscribed.
- Find out who is on a list:
- Send an email with the command recipients listname.
