TCNJ Debate

TCNJ Debate is a student-run organization which was founded at The College of New Jersey in 2007. TCNJ recently became a member of the American Parliamentary Debate Association, which is a national network of debate teams at hundreds of colleges and universities.  We attend debate tournaments several weekends each semester.  In the past we have competed at schools such as Princeton, Yale, the University of Pennsylvania, Rutgers, Swarthmore, and Fordham.  We hold meetings every Tuesday and Thursday. Students of all years and majors are welcome to join, and no previous experience is necessary.  Debating is especially helpful in developing valuable research and communication skills, which are useful for many classes in undergraduate and graduate studies.
