The recent agreements between the State of New Jersey and its various bargaining units, as well as the State's requirement the College achieve salary savings from non-unit employees, have necessitated a change in TCNJ's 2009 Energy Saving's Program. Although originally designated as a compensatory, energy savings closure day, November 27, 2009 (the day after Thanksgiving) is now specified as a required, unpaid furlough day. Therefore, December 23, 2009 will be substituted in place of November 27, 2009, as a compensatory, energy savings closure day.
Employees who may have already designated December 23, 2009 as a self-directed furlough day, will be given the opportunity to pick an alternate date. Those who already have submitted a form designating December 23rd as an SDF day may use the attached form to pick another day. As before this will require their supervisor's approval and signature.
