Union Contracts
A bargaining unit contract/agreement exists between the State of New Jersey and the American Federation of Teachers governing the employment relationships between the College and adjunct faculty. This contract/agreement stipulates a Representation Fee, sometimes referred to as an Agency Shop. As such, even adjunct faculty who decline to become a full-fledged member of the union, will have a fee representing 85% of the regular membership fee deducted from their pay.
The adjunct faculty unit Bargaining Agreement can be found at http://www.cnjscl.org/. AFT Local 2364's website can be viewed at http://www.tcnj.edu/~aft/aft.htm
Copies of the applicable contract/agreement are available in the Human Resources.
