Diversity Workshop
The College of New Jersey has as a central component of its mission a commitment to promote understanding across traditional ethnic and gender boundaries, and to foster an appreciation of diversity amongst its students and employees. As an outgrowth to this commitment, The College requires all new employees to attend a half-day diversity workshop within the first year of their employment. The workshop, which is facilitated by members of The College’s faculty and staff, engages participants in an examination of applicable policies, procedures, and ethics, and includes discussion of current issues impacting diversity on college campuses.
