ABOUT IeDEA

The Institute for Educational Design, Evaluation, and Assessment is dedicated to developing and implementing effective strategies and technologies for assessing and evaluating instruction, programs, and organizations.

Mission

IeDEA’s mission is to provide a nationally recognized source of interdisciplinary expertise, research, practice and instruction in innovative assessment and evaluation of students / clients, personnel, and programs.

Goals

IeDEA’s goals are to:

  • Generate and disseminate knowledge related to assessment and evaluation through research, development, and informed practice.
  • Design credible and innovative assessments of programs, personnel, and student / client outcomes.
  • Provide necessary training in assessment / evaluation to educators, health and human service professionals and others desiring such education.
  • Serve as the agent of the College in implementing assessments / evaluations of its graduates and programs.
  • Serve as a resource to the TCNJ community’s members in their assessment / evaluation efforts.
  • TCNJ’s Teacher Evaluation Administration, Scanning & related Reporting Processes
  • Provide the necessary assistance in assessment and evaluation to school systems, higher education institutions, health and human service agencies, non-profit and other organizations.
