The Intramural Sports & REC Center homepage provides all information for the Intramural and Club Sports programs on campus, as well as the PEC, TW Fitness, and Aquatic Center facilities. News updates, staff information, and sports photos can all be found on this page.
The Intramural Sports & Recreation Department provides members of The College of New Jersey community with an opportunity to participate in a wide variety of competitive activities on campus. All students, faculty and staff may participate in the Intramural Sports Program. All information, including how to enter and the rules and procedures of sports games can be found on the Intramural Sports page. If you are interested in signing up, please come by the REC Center to pick up any information and Entry Cards during the representative sports season.
The Club Sports program at TCNJ provides the opportunity for students to participate in various sports programs in a competitive environment. Any student may joing a club sport, who practice and play on campus and travel to play other club sports programs from surrounding campuses. All overall club sports information can be found on the Club Sports page. Any information on individual programs, including how to join, can be found through the club sports drop-down menu.
The Physical Enhancement Center is an on-campus facility housing resistance training and cardiovascular equipment for exercise and fitness related activities. Students, staff, faculty, and surrounding residents can become members of the facility. Available equipment includes treadmills, stationary bikes, and steppers for different cardio exercises, as well as a large variety of dumbells, barbells, and weighted plates, along with various benches and equipments for many types of free weight lifting. The Student Recreation Center at The College of New Jersey houses facilities for basketball, tennis, racquetball, volleyball an indoor track, and two fitness rooms dedicated individually to cardiovascular and free weight exercise. Current TCNJ ID or Membership Card must be presented to enter all facilities. Dates and times of these various activities and intramural sports scheduling can be found on the REC Center page.
TW Fitness Center
The Travers & Wolfe Fitness Center offers a wide range of classes which can include step, kickboxing, self-defense, yoga, and basic aerobic workouts. These classes are taught by certified fitness instructors and are offered to students, faculty, staff, and alumni. At an expense of 4.5 million dollars, The College of New Jersey Aquatic Center opened in 1987 as one of the finest indoor aquatic facilities in the northeast. Measuring 126 feet by 67 feet, the main pool has 8 lap lanes that are 25 yards long and is divided from the diving well by a moveable bulkhead.
