At the Dean's request, Information Technology will attend a school meeting to talk with School of Business faculty about IT initiatives and concerns.
Spring 2006 Update
Per Dean's request, IT will be invited to attend a Fall 2006 faculty meeting to provide Q & A session.
Provide an academic computing resource fair for the School of Business.
This will be a pilot program that may extend to a campus wide initiative. The School of Business faculty members are interested in new technologies and would like IT to coordinate a resource fair. IT can investigate technologies either available on campus or readily available and provide a "show and tell" session for the School of Business. A few examples of this may include smart whiteboards, treos, digital cameras, video editing and pdas. Some software ideas could include wikipedias, facebook, blogs and relevant uses of Internet2. If there is interest in new technologies that could be incorporated into the curriculum, the faculty member will either request these items through their school budget or write a grant to fund this new initiative.
Spring 2006 Update
A mini-resource fair will be provided at the Instructional Technology Workshop which will be held in the Business building on May 10, 2006. All faculty have been invited to attend the full day workshop. For more information about the mini-resource fair or the Instructional Technology Workshop, go to http://its.intrasun.tcnj.edu/springworkshop2006.html
Assist the School of Business , as needed, in developing a survey to identify student technology needs including what is being addressed and what needs improvement.
The Dean would like to address issues and concerns of School of Business students in using technology and is looking for ways to increase satisfaction ratings by the students within the School. What exactly are the issues with technology that the student's perceive need improvement? Do the students have access to hardware and software to satisfy their academic needs? What do the students need that they don't feel that they are getting?

IT will work with Dean's office on preparing this survey during fall 2006 semester.
