Academic Advisement |
- Academic Advisment within the PeopleSoft Student Administation system is used to track graduation requirements and policies.
- Using data input into the Student Records system, the AA application - using entered TCNJ graduation requirements - evaluates which of those requirements a student has and has not fulfilled in obtaining his/her degree.
- The Academic Advisement application allows for easy access to a student's degree progress.

- The Enrollment Backpack - an interactive academic advising audit feature - enables students to search and register for courses based on requirements they need to fulfill
- Students are given the ability to run "what-if" scenarios to see how their academic audit would look if they switched majors
- Both advisors and students see exceptions and waivers explained directly on advisement reports
- Academic advisement reports viewed in real time
- Administrators and advisors are able to run multiple academic advisement reports in a batch process

Campus Community |
- Campus Community is the central storage area of demographic and biographic information about individuals and organizations associated with the school.
- All other PeopleSoft modules perform actions that are related to the data contained within Campus Community.
- Data included ranges from basic identification and contact information to past or present athletic participation.

- Effective Dating allows us to apply an effective date to more data. This will allow for history retention on more fields and allow us to future date more data
- Search Match allows for searching on multiple combinations of Name, SSN, Address, Phone Number, etc. CS makes it easier to insure no duplicate records are made
- While SIS has a single field for name, the CS system has first, last and middle name fields (improved searches and reporting)
- Secure Data - Departments handling sensitive information (e.g. Health and Disability issues) will have a secure place to store that data

Financial Aid |
- PeopleSoft Financial Aid is a powerful tool that will be used by the Financial Aid office in effectively and efficiently processing institutional and federal applications.
- This module leads users through automated need calculations, budgets, awards, disbursements, and loan processing.
- Campus Solutions FA also helps process and track loan applications under federal, state, university, and alternative loan programs.

- Improvement in real-time, accurate financial aid information reporting
- More automated system of importing financial aid evaluation data
- New means of authorizing student aid, using rules defined for each award
- Improvment in sharing FA data with required federal and state agencies

Recruiting and Admissions |
- The use of PeopleSoft eases the management of recruited students and active applicants.
- With components which allow for easy application evaluations, test score and transcript uploading, along with the system's integration with other modules, PeopleSoft makes for a better and more efficient admissions processing system.

- Ability to assign single or multiple recruiters and recruiting categories to a prospect or applcant
- Gives applicants the ability to check if certain required documents have been received by Admissions office
- Test Score loads automatically create prospects
- Because the system is web-based, administrators can access applicant information remotely

Student Financials |
- PeopleSoft Student Financials facilitates the management of student billing, receivables, and collections.
- The system takes data from other modules to calculate tuition, maintain account information, establish plans of payment, perform cashiering, and process collections so that students are able to have quick and easy access to important financial information.

Student Records |
- PeopleSoft Student Records enables students and staff to manage academic information.
- Once a prospect is admitted to the school, the system enables easy activation, enrollment, and grading of the student.
- Tied together with Academic Advisement, Student Records follows a student through his/her graduation.

- Automated enrollment in related components (students signing up for certain Lab components will be placed in correct Lecture sections). SIS requires that a student sign up for each individually
- Scheduling of classes by Chairs and Assistant Deans will be done directly into the CS system
- Lapse Grade Process allows for automatic change from incomplete grade to "F" once the deadline for submission has passed
- Improved Study Abroad reporting process
- Enables assignment of unlimited advisors
- Saving of athletic participation history when a student discontinues participation
- CS will inform students of their registration appointments via a self-service window
- Ability to handle a scenario in which a student has three majors
- ETS test scores will be delivered into the system automatically
- System will allow administrators and staff to track multiple cohorts (groups) of students
