Guidelines and Procedure for Providing Instruction in the Classroom
Last Revised : 11/17/04
Instructional Technology Services (ITS) now offers computer training classes to your students to assist them in their computing needs. Training is offered in PowerPoint to assist your students in creating more professional looking presentations. Training classes can also be customized to fit the needs of your students. Requests for training classes will be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis.
Please note the following guidelines:
Location:
All classes will be held in Bliss 31 computer lab if available. The Grad Assistant for ITS will teach the classes.
Requests:
Requests for training classes should be made by email (smiller@tcnj.edu) or phone Sue Miller at x2085, at least one week in advance. This will allow time for us to request the lab, set up equipment and coordinate the training with the Grad Assistant’s schedule. The following information is needed at the time of your request:
- Your name, the date and time requested, and an alternative date if you have one
- Your phone number or email address
- The number of students attending the class
- If there is anything in particular you want to focus on during the class
Required:
All faculty members must be present during the class period. We have a better success rate if you are in the lab with us. If you are unable to make the scheduled class, then we will reschedule the training session.
Response Time:
You will receive a call or email from our department within 24 hours to let you know that your request has been received. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request. Once everything is set up, ITS will contact you with a final confirmation.
