New Book
Heartfelt Cases
By TCNJ and IV's own Julie Gilbert
It's a mystery novel with lots of action, flying bullets, people getting smacked around, and more importantly, two FBI agents who learn to lean on God in times of trouble.
While you can buy it online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, or iuniverse, please buy directly from Julie at IV if you possibly can.
Thank you for your interest in Heartfelt Cases. I would like to take this time to share with you some of the motivation behind this drastic step called publishing and explain why I so desperately need your prayer, moral, and advertising support.
First, I am not poor but neither do I have limitless resources. Yet I have an ardent desire to help some non-profit organizations. My mind is set on a few specific organizations, but I do not know if I am legally allowed to formally use their names, even for explaining purposes. But rest assured their causes are just and worth the effort.
Second, a recent struggle of mine has been apathy and indifference to the pain of others. I think of all the people going hungry, living desperately, and dying from one disease or another, and it almost paralyzes me. What can I do? Who am I to even try to make a difference? Me, honestly, I?m a nobody, but the One I serve is far greater than the human imagination can wrap itself around.
Third, writing is endlessly fun. I want to share this passion and joy with you all, ya'll, whatever. I think you get the point. Stories were always meant to be shared. This may sound counter-productive from where I'm standing but please, if you do end up buying a copy of Heartfelt Cases, read it and then give it to someone else. About the worst fate a book can suffer is to be left on a shelf unused, untouched, and unable to touch the life of another.
Fourth, who needs luck when you've got God on your side? Well, sadly, some don't have God on their side. Be a part of their life.
How you can help: Tell your friends, family, neighbors, and even random strangers to consider buying Heartfelt Cases and/or donating to non-profit organizations. (Ignore the random stranger's goggle-eyed stare.) Apathy's a hard thing to conquer but it can be done.
Thank you for your time.
God Bless,
Julie C. Gilbert
