The Japanese Language Placement Exam

If you have studied Japanese before coming to The College of New Jersey, you will need to contact the Japanese Language Program Advisor and schedule a time to take the Japanese Language Placement Exam.

If you grew up speaking Japanese at home, or have had other informal contact with Japanese, you should also contact the Program Advisor to schedule an exam time.

The exam is done in person, involves both speaking/listening and reading/writing, and takes about 45 minutes.
