  1. Reread Act 2, Scene 2, lines 55-59. What do Falstaff and his gang rob? How does this contribute to the parallel to Percy’s rebellion?

 

 

 

  1. At the end of Act 2, Hal says he will restore the money Falstaff stole. If this parallel exists, what can we say about Hal’s role in fighting the rebellion?

Relate Falstaff’s rebellion against the law (in the highway robberies) to Hotsper's rebellion.

 

Some ideas:

Falstaff, dressed in military garb, stealing King Henry’s throne.

 

Hotspur, pretending to be a highway robber, binding King Henry.
