TCNJ went on to beat D2 Liberty Conf. Rivals, LaSalle University (9-5) in a competitive 1st Round Game at The College of New Jersey, in which TCNJ never let go of its early lead. With this win, TCNJ advanced to the NCLL's D2 National Elite Eight Tournament.

Unfornately the team was eliminated in the Second Round by Cortland, eventual 2009 D2 Champs and winners of three of the last four division championships.
