Melanie Falco
Melanie C. Falco graduated summa cum
laude from The College of New Jersey in 2001 with a B.S. in
Law and Justice.
She received her J.D., with
honors, from the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004. After graduating from law
school, Ms. Falco practiced law at Skadden, Arps, Slate,
Meagher & Flom in New York City.
She then served as a law
clerk to the Honorable Joel A. Pisano, United States
District Court for
the District of New Jersey.
Currently, Ms. Falco is
employed as a law
clerk to the Honorable Jose L. Linares, United States
District Court for
the District of New Jersey.
Ms. Falco is admitted to
practice law in both
New Jersey and New York.
This is her second semester
teaching Courts and
the Judicial Process at The College of New Jersey.
Glenn Ferguson
Glenn Ferguson, PhD is a licensed
clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist.
Currently the Deputy Chief
Executive Officer/Clinical Administrator of the
Ann
Klein
Forensic
Center in
West Trenton
New Jersey,
Dr. Ferguson is also a professor of Forensic Psychology at
The College of New Jersey.
Prior to accepting his position
at AKFC in 2006 he had over twenty-five years of service to
the State of New Jersey in a variety of criminal justice and
mental health positions, including seven years as Clinical
Director of the Special Treatment Unit, the secure inpatient
treatment program for individuals civilly committed under
the New Jersey Sexually Violent Predator Act.
Dr. Ferguson also worked as a
Psychology Consultant for the New Jersey State Parole Board,
where he performed psychological evaluations on high-risk
violent offenders in the
New Jersey
prison system.
A graduate of The College of
New Jersey, New Jersey City University and the Union
Institute School of Professional Psychology, he is an active
member of the American Psychological Association and the NJ
Governor’s Counsel Against Sexual Violence, Prevention
Education Committee. A charter member of the New Jersey
Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers, his
research activities have focused on sexual violence risk
assessment.
Dr. Ferguson has presented at
local, regional and national conferences and authored
several peer reviewed journal articles and a book chapter on
topics ranging from sex offender risk assessment and
treatment, to effective clinical supervision in forensic
mental health settings.
John Maloney
A 1989 T.S.C. graduate with a B.A. in
History, John Maloney earned a M.E.
from Temple University in 1993, and a J.D. from
Rutgers-Camden School of
Law in 1998.
While in law school, Mr.
Maloney was employed with the
Megan's Law unit of the Office of the Public Defender.
After obtaining
his law degree, he clerked for the Honorable Cornelius P.
Sullivan.
Upon
completing his clerkship, Mr. Maloney became an Assistant
Deputy Public
Defender with the Mercer Trial Region in Trenton.
He has tried a wide
range of cases from burglary to drugs and aggravated
assault, from armed
robbery to murder.
Mr. Maloney has been an adjunct
with TCNJ since the
Spring of 2002.
He lives in Ewing, with his
wife, Jennifer Keyes-Maloney,
a 1995 T.S.C. graduate.
Angelo Onofri
Angelo Onofri joined the Mercer
County Prosecutor’s Office in May of 1998 after having
served as the Deputy Mercer County Counsel and an Assistant
Municipal Prosecutor for the Trenton Municipal Court. Mr.
Onofri currently serves as an assistant prosecutor on the
senior legal staff of Mercer County Prosecutor Joseph L.
Bocchini, Jr. and is responsible for the Community Justice
Unit, case screening, special projects, public information,
media inquiries, the internship program and grant writing.
Mr. Onofri also serves as the
Secretary of the Trenton Weed and Seed Steering Committee
and is the Vice President of the Trenton Police Athletic
League.
He is also a past chairman of
the Trenton Municipal Alliance Committee which co-ordinates
drug and alcohol prevention/outreach efforts in
Trenton. Mr. Onofri graduated with
high honors from
Rutgers
University
and the Eagleton Institute of Politics.
He earned his Juris Doctor from
the Villanova University School of Law.
RoseMarie Rotondi
RoseMarie Rotondi earned her B.A. at
Seton Hall University and is currently a doctoral student in
Criminal Justice from Rutgers University – Newark.
She also earned her M.P.A from
American University and her M.A. in Criminal Justice from
Rutgers University – Newark.
She has taught courses in
Juvenile Delinquency, Research Methods, and Corrections at
both Rutgers University and the College of New Jersey.
As a research assistant at the
Police Institute at Rutgers – Newark, RoseMarie worked on
numerous projects including Operation CeaseFire and the
Safer Cities Initiative in conjunction with various state
and local law enforcement agencies.
Her research interests include
spatial crime analysis, neighborhood effects on crime, and
juvenile gang violence.
Currently, she is studying the
neighborhood effects on crime in the city of Trenton.
Tracy Thompson
Tracy M. Thompson has been a part
of the TCNJ adjunct faculty staff in the Criminology
Department since 1999.
She has been admitted to the NJ
and PA bars since 1990.
Currently, she is an Assistant
Attorney General in the Attorney General’s Office Division
of Criminal Justice.
Before the Division of Criminal
Justice, Mrs. Thompson served as an Assistant Prosecutor in
the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office for nine years.
A native of
Trenton, Thompson received her BA in
African American Studies from the
University of Pennsylvania
in 1987 and her JD from Temple University School of Law in
1990.
Following law school, she
clerked for the Honorable Lisa A. Richette, a homicide judge
for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Thompson serves on a number of
boards and committees, is a trustee for the Mercer County
and Garden State Bar Associations and Immediate Past Chair
of the Minorities in the Profession Section of the NJ State
Bar Association.
She was a featured 2006 Black
History Month columnist in the Trenton Times newspaper.
