His research interests include correlates of sentencing outcomes and factors associated with sexual assault case prosecution. He recently completed work as co-principal investigator (with TJ Taylor and Volkan Topalli) on a grant awarded by the Bureau of Justice Statistics and the American Statistical Association to examine correlates of police clearance decisions using data from the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS).
