Web Site Design: Status Report #2

At this point, I have gathered a significant amount of information pertaining to the New Jersey Association of Senior Center Directors. On Friday, February 13th, I met with the president of the NJASCD at the West Windsor Senior Center to collect information for the site design, as well as the information that she would like to be included in the site. Mrs. Thornton would like to have a number of features on the site that would be available to members of the NJASCD. These include:

• A general information page which explains the goals of the association
• A page containing upcoming events and association meetings
• A page with links to other related senior citizen resources
• A contact page with addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses (when available)
• A sign-up page for individuals who are interested in applying for membership to the NJASCD
  (members must run a senior center and meet certain qualifications that will be noted).
• A number of pages including member information and related information

Unfortunately, i will have to change the original design of the web site. Since the purpose of this web site will be intended for use by the senior center directors, and not the senior citizens themselves, there will be no need to include extra accessibility. The final product will be more focused on a business-like appearance, and will be used by people involved and/or interested in the actual process of running senior centers in NJ.
