Leadership Matters: Advancing the Public Good Through Leadership in Business, Government, and Nonprofit Organizations

Course Description

Leadership skills are necessary for mobilizing organizations to advance the public good -- whether the organizations are businesses, government agencies, nonprofits, or campus student groups. In this course, we use a variety of readings about leadership, examples of exemplary leaders, and interactive exercises to help you analyze what makes a successful leader and how successful leaders are able to achieve the public good and organizational and personal success at the same time. As part of our work together, you will also gain an understanding of your leadership style and develop skills that will help you to lead successfully and ethically.
