Phrase Searching
A phrase is a group of two or more words used as a unit. Examples:

  • market research
  • point-of-sale advertising
  • supply and demand

Phrase searching narrows your search to any entries that include the exact phrase.

"women consumers"
Quotation marks are almost universally used to indicate a phrase in electronic searches. This includes scholarly research databases, TCNJ's library catalog and web search engines like Google and Bing.
