Reading and navigating text in a web document

Start and stop reading

  1. You can read the entire web document using the Play key (0 on the numeric keyboard) and the Stop key (Enter on the numeric keypad). These keys work much like the play and stop keys of a tape recorder.

Reading by HTML element

Keys 4, 5, and 6 allow you to read the document one HTML element at a time.These elements are often paragraphs, but may be headers, table elements, etc.

  1. Press 4 on the numeric keypad to move to and read the previous element.
  2. Press 5 on the numeric keypad to read the current element.
  3. Press 6 on the numeric keypad to move to and read the next element.

Moving to the beginning or end of a document

  1. Press plus and then 4 on the numeric keypad to move to and read the first HTML element in the document.
  2. Press plus and then 6 on the numeric keypad to move to and read the last HTML element in the document.
