Basic Library Resources

Italian DVDs and Videos at TCNJ

DVDs and videos are available at Media Services (4th floor, TCNJ Library)

Finding Italian-language movies at TNCJ

  1. Go to TCNJ Library Catalog search screen
  2. Click on the Basic search button
  3. Click set more limits button (extreme right-hand side of the screen): choose Italian and click on Set limits button.  The search limits are now "on."
  4. In Search for box, enter "foreign films"
  5. In Search in box, select Keyword-Relevance
  6. Click Search button

To see most recent films first, at the results screen go to Sort by: box -- choose "Date, newest first."

DVD and VHS at TCNJ Library Media Services are available for check-out by students after 7:00 pm (due next day), or for in-house viewing during open hours.

  • Search the TCNJ Library Catalog to find books, recordings, videos, newspapers, magazines, and CD-ROMs in Italian or related to Italian Studies.
  • You can restrict your search by language by using the blue "set more limits" button on the TCNJ Library Catalog search screen. 

Scholarly Journal Articles

Newspaper Articles

  • Search for newspaper articles from around the world in the Westlaw Campus database, which is primarily a legal database but also includes foreign language newspapers and magazines.
  • Enter search terms then Scroll down to LANGUAGE SOURCES (right-hand column).
  • Check the box by Non-English and search.
  • Optional: Click on the small to select the foreign language and newspaper you want.
  • Begin searching keywords in Italian, or use English-language terms from the thesaurus.
