Basic Library Resources
Italian DVDs and Videos at TCNJ
DVDs and videos are available at Media Services (4th floor, TCNJ Library)
Finding Italian-language movies at TNCJ
- Go to TCNJ Library Catalog search screen
- Click on the Basic search button
- Click set more limits button (extreme right-hand side of the screen): choose Italian and click on Set limits button. The search limits are now "on."
- In Search for box, enter "foreign films"
- In Search in box, select Keyword-Relevance
- Click Search button
To see most recent films first, at the results screen go to Sort by: box -- choose "Date, newest first."
DVD and VHS at TCNJ Library Media Services are available for check-out by students after 7:00 pm (due next day), or for in-house viewing during open hours.

Books & Other Library Materials
- Search the TCNJ Library Catalog to find books, recordings, videos, newspapers, magazines, and CD-ROMs in Italian or related to Italian Studies.
- You can restrict your search by language by using the blue "set more limits" button on the TCNJ Library Catalog search screen.
Scholarly Journal Articles
- Search for Italian Studies topics in one of the library's article databases: http://www.tcnj.edu/~library/research/subject/modernlanguages.html
- If you already have a citation or know the Title of a Journal, you can check to see if we have a subscription to the journal.
Newspaper Articles
- Search for newspaper articles from around the world in the News & Information database (Campus Research powered by WestLaw).
- Go to General News (right-hand column)
- Click on Foreign Langauge Sources (8th one on list)
- Optional: Click on the small
to select the newspaper you want - Begin searching keywords in Italian, or use English-language terms from the thesaurus
