PAIS Archive (CSA)

The PAIS Archive database comprises a retrospective conversion of the PAIS Annual Cumulated Bulletin, Volumes 1-62, published 1915-1976. The PAIS Archive database contains references to monographs, periodical articles, notes and announcements, and analytics. The original historical subject headings have been retained in the file. Since its establishment in 1914, PAIS (Public Affairs Information Service) has chronicled issues in the public debate through highly selective coverage of a wide variety of sources. The PAIS Archive provides historical perspective on many of the 20th century's public and social policies.

Indexes and provides citations and abstracts from the public and social policy literature of business, economics, education, health, law, international relations, public administration, government, political science, and other social sciences. Materials indexed are from all over the world and include journal articles, books, government documents, statistical compilations, conference proceedings, and research reports. Provides full text access to the New York Times up to three years ago. Historical New York Times provides information on a wide variety of topics including national and international news, biographies, social and economic issues, the arts, literature, music, the sciences, business, and much more. A full text, full image archive of over 120 journals. Coverage of journals generally begins with their first volume and is updated to within three years of the current issue. Allows keyword searching of the full text of all articles, as well as browsing of particular journal issues. Subject strengths are African-American studies, anthropology, Asian studies, ecology, economics/finance, general science, history, literature, math/statistics, philosophy, political science, population/demography, and sociology.

LexisNexis Statistical

Provides indexing and abstracts from three titles: American Statistics Index (ASI), Statistical Reference Index (SRI), and Index to International Statistics (IIS). ASI (1973-present) covers statistical publications issued by the U.S. government. SRI (1980-present) covers publications from the 50 state governments, and academic and private organizations. IIS (1983-present) covers English language statistical publications of major intergovernmental organizations. Bibliographic information and abstracts are provided as well as selected full text from 1995-. PowerTables allows users to quickly search a database of 30,000 tables from compilations issued by federal agencies, the states, and IGOs. Can search for an individual table by coverage date, table content, and/or subject terms.
