LEMS Meeting Minutes

Chief (George)

-         We decided (as an organization) to apply for the Student Center Cubicle for next year.

-         If you did not complete your Stand-Bys from last semester, you can make them up by alphabetizing 4 years of call sheets. You will receive 2 credits per hour of service.

-         Tom, Mark, and George will meet with the Chief of Police and the Facilities Coordinator to discuss the MCI Drill.

o       The drill will be held on April 13, between 8am and 3pm (tentative). You must complete ICS 200 to participate.

-         SFB denied our appeal for more money to send to the EMS conference.

-         Are people interested in going bowling on Tuesday, February 19 to celebrate our 10^th Anniversary?

Deputy Chief (Tom)

-         If you would like to be on a Wednesday or Friday day crew, e-mail Tom at pagnott2@tcnj.edu.

o       This is not a weekly commitment; it is a time-by-time volunteer opportunity. You will be on duty from 4pm until the 8pm hand-off to the regular crew.

Training (Mark)

-         Core-13 will be held on Feb 21 and 22 from 7-11pm and 23 and 24 from 9a-5pm. You must be available all 4 days. E-mail Mark at bauernf2@tcnj.edu if you would like to participate.

-         The MCI Drill on April 13 will count for 4 CEU’s.

-         To complete CEU’s online, go to njlearn.com. You must use Internet Explorer as your browser.

Equipment (Mina)

-         For duty, take the radios with the small sticker, as the radios with the big stickers must be re-labeled.

Logistics (Steve)

-         Steve is putting in an order for supplies.

Executive VP (Jim)

-         There is a sign-up sheet to sit in the cubicle in the cubicle.

-         Congratulations to the students in the EMT class for working hard.

-         CPR classes will resume in March.

Treasurer (Danielle)

-         If you would like to apply for the “Outdoor Education Award,” contact Danielle ASAP. You will have to come up with a proposal and present it to SFB.

VP Member Services (Emily)

-         If you would like to join the banquet committee, please see Emily.

-         There is a “Member of the Month” box in the closet. Nominate someone who deserves to be recognized.

Growth (Amit)

-         The growth committee should look for e-mails on when they will get together to work on the SOP’s.

Publicity (Chris)

-         If you would like to join the publicity committee, contact Chris.

o       The committee will put on a 911 Awareness Campaign to spread the word of the organization.

Fundraising (Jen)

-         Please sell fundraising cards! If you need some, contact garriso4@tcnj.edu.

o       We have many more to sell, so please reach out to other organizations.
