General Meeting Minutes – September 5, 2007

 

Next Meeting:

Wednesday, September 12, 2007 – Orientation for new members

 

Chief/President

1) Reminder: We must respect HIPAA laws when on call. If you are questioned about personal information regarding the patient over the radio, respond with “No Comment.”

2) Sana is allowed a maximum of $25 to decorate the cubicle.

3) All responding members must have a TB test. The test is free if you identify yourself as an EMS member.

            Tuesday, September 11th 3:30-5pm Eickhoff Hall room 158.

Reading of test will be done: Thursday September 13th 3:30-5pm in Health Services.

4) If you are a non-responding member of EMS, it is mandatory that you join a committee.

 

Deputy Chief

1) The schedule will continue to be updated as members are added to the crews. Please submit a “Duty Request Form” if you have not already done so.

 

Training

1) CPR and First Aid classes will be given this fall.

2) We will have a drill focusing on a Mass Casualty and Triage Tags.

3) E-mail Mark if you are interested in taking ICS 100. This must be completed before taking ICS 200.  

 

Equipment

1) Contact Mina if you have a radio or microphone.

 

EVP

1) Returning Member Applications should be submitted at the next meeting. The $20 application fee will cover the polo shirt.

2) It is requested that you attend the 9/11 observance in your EMT uniform.

 

Secretary

1) The contact list and e-mail list is being redone.

 

Fundraising

2) A Coldstone fundraiser will happen in the near future.

 

Growth

1) November is Collegiate Awareness Month. Activities will be planned.

 

Publicity

1) The website is being updated. Contact Chris if you have anything that should be put up.
