Lions’ EMS Meeting Minutes
October 10, 2007
Chief - George
- LEMS was denied funds for Capital Equipment Request
o Fundraising money will be used to cover requests in the near future
- We will try to begin a “Equipment Replacement Program” with SFB so that they can foresee what we ask for
- LEMS will try to get involved in TCNJ’s future Incident Management Plans
- Company ordered wrong T-Shirts- We expect to receive them by Fall Break
- Jim Norftley Meeting- George and Amit will discuss member benefits (housing…)
- Committee Minutes should be taken at every Committee Meeting- Send them to Jim Garvey
- Executive Board must do office hours in the Stud Cubicle every week
- There will be a General Meeting next week (10/17/07) – Include documentation drill
Deputy Chief - Tom
- There are many Stand-Bys this weekend. E-mail Tom at pagnott2@tcnj.edu with your availability
o Active members must attend Stand-Bys. They affect your membership in the organization
o This weekend’s Duty Crew will be limited to a Crew Chief Bag and a one EMT Bag
Logistics- Mina
- Let Mina know if there are problems with radios
- Bring your bags and radios to the next meeting (10/17/07)
Training- Mark
- CPR/FA classes were a success. Sunday’s class will be rescheduled for this Friday (10/12/07)
- ICS 200 will be offered in Mid-November. You must have completed ICS 100 to take ICS 200
o ICS 100 can be completed online
- Njlearn.com offers information on CEU’s
Exec VP - Jim
- Hand in applications if you have not already done so
VP MS SE- Emily
- EMS Week is in November. Contact her if you are interested in being on the committee
Growth -Amit
- Amit and George will meet with Jim Norftley.
Fundraising - Jen
- Coldstone was a success
- Next fundraiser will be Discount Cards
o We go to stores and ask for discounts that we can put on a card. We sell the card for profit
