Explained the structure of LEMS (made up of Line Officers and Executive officers)

Caroline Vizthum (Deputy Chief)

· Talked about scheduling shifts (sent via email to all running members and on LEMS website)

· To be a riding member you must get a physical and take a TB test each year (free to all LEMS members if done at Health Services)

· There will be a CPR class this weekend (Sept. 18 -19 in Eickhoff 114)

o It will cost $15 per person

o The class will be run on Saturday and Sunday from 9AM to 12PM both days

o All members obtaining a new CPR cert. must attend both days; however, those who are just renewing their certification can just come on Sunday

· The TCNJ Fall Late Nighter will be on this Saturday (Sept. 18) from 8PM to 2AM. This will be a LEMS standby so members interested to cover the event please email lionsems@tcnj.edu.

Kristin Caruso (Training/Personnel Captain)

· All members need their member files set up or updated

· New members should give in photocopies of all certifications

· In two weeks, there will be the first LEMS drill of the year, which will be an orientation for all members (orientation is necessary for all new members before they can start riding shifts)

· On Friday October 10 at 10pm, there will be a CEU documentation class

o CEU classes are especially meant for EMTs because they need to take these classes in order to maintain they certification, however all members are welcome to attend

o It will be free to all EMTs, but there will be a fee to any other members

o If you are planning to attend, please let Kristin know ASAP (email caruso4@tcnj.edu)

Kate Langton (Former Equipment Officer & Treasurer)

· Kate Langton is resigning from her two positions, as Equipment Officer and Treasurer of LEMS, but will continue to be an active member

· Aedin Fortune will take up the duties of Equipment Officer for now

· The LEMS Treasurer position will be voted on (nominations to be held today)

· Radios are in the LEMS closet in the bottom drawer of the filing cabinet

All members (new and old) should make sure that Nimit has all the latest contact information (includes email address, campus address, campus ext., certifications, and AIM screen names which is optional)
