o    This month has been one of the busiest on record

o    Several breaches of confidentiality policy by campus police have been observed (i.e. broadcasting full names on the radio)

·        If you have observed any such breaches, please tell Doug at smith46@tcnj.edu

·        Chris McKittrick was unable to get a LEMS table for Fun Day

o    LEMS will still be on standby

·        Several events will be occurring this week including the Great Adventure volunteering, Fun Day, sports events and other standbys

·        Last weekend was extremely busy, but LEMS was able to cover the shifts thanks to several crew chiefs who worked very hard – thanks!

Kevin Mnich (Training and Personnel Captain)

·        Please fill out the Life Insurance form if you have not done so yet; if anyone has questions, email them to mnich2@tcnj.edu

·        A LEMS standby crew has been requested for the Nov. 1 Memorial Service for Brittany; the service will last about an hour

o    Crew members are asked to consider covering this service; if available contact cheong2@tcnj.edu

·        The planned LEMS DRILL for next month conducted by Scott Sferra involves bloodborne pathogens and psychological emergencies

o    So far LEMS has had 2-3 dispatches for anxiety attacks

o    Drill will involve dealing with psychological emergencies so that LEMS duty crew members will feel more comfortable responding to such calls

o    Health Services and Psychological Counseling is also available

·        Top responders for last month received prizes for running the most calls

·        Members will be receiving their LEMS IDs soon; they will include each person’s picture from SOCS
