- Orientation,
all necessary info, and training are provided; new crew chiefs start out

Useful experience if you are interested in
becoming an instructor
- Speak
to Kevin if you are interested in becoming an CPR instructor
- Requested
any vaccination cards that members needed to hand in
- EMS statistics:

o 5
million miles traveled by ambulance
o 2
million hours on call
o LionsEMS
has about 300-350 calls/year including standby events
o All
members of LionsEMS should be proud of the collective accomplishments of EMS
- Scott
Sferra, instructor, wants to hold a Basic Trauma Life Support course which
covers advanced methods of trauma life support before the hospital
o Useful
in more serious calls that may occur on campus such as amputations or
impalements
o Option
for this semester was Sat. December 10th; by asking for feeding back from LEMS
members, it was decided to wait until early next semester around Feb. to hold
the course
o 8
people minimum to hold the course
- Anyone
not currently an EMT and interested in taking the course next Spring, see
Kevin mnich2@tcnj.edu for contact
