Minutes for LEMS General Meeting on December 14, 2005

Minutes:

 

Doug Smith (Chief/President)

  • Please return all completed call reports to Doug or Health Services as soon as possible
  • If you are on call during Finals Week, please make sure you are on call or get a replacement
    • Failing to be on call, especially if you are a crew chief, is considered abandonment
    • Duty crew should not respond without the crew chief
    • If you are unable to obtain equipment, contact the crew chief
  • Approximately equal number of members voted to have or not have the End of Semester party this Friday; decision about whether to hold the party this semester or next semester will be communicated to members via email

 

Bruce Cheong (Deputy Chief)

  • 2006 Duty Crew Schedule Request form has been sent out to all members; if you are interested in running with a crew next year, please fill out the form

 

Ricky Blasi (Equipment Captain)

  • Keep the bags stocked
  • Band-aid order has not yet arrived

 

Regina Cummings (Treasurer)

  • Six people have handed in money for sweatshirts; minimum number to place an order is 12 people
  • If you paid for the First Aid class that was canceled, please contact Regina cumming4@tcnj.edu for a refund
    • If you know anyone who should receive a refund, tell him/her to contact Regina since LEMS does not have the email addresses of people who signed up for the class
  • All bills have been paid

 

Carolyn Botros (Fundraising Chair)

  • Check for $506 received from the Great Adventure fundraiser
  • Six Flags tickets are at Carolyn’s home – will be distributed at the beginning of next semester

 

Nimit Saraiya (Publicity Chair)

  • Will make last update to the LEMS website this weekend

 

LionsEMS Officer Elections:

Requirements:

Must be an active member to vote

Active duty crew member – on a duty crew, 50% of meetings, 1 standby/semester

General member – attend 2/3 of the meetings, attend various standby events

 

This is a one semester position

 

Secretary:

  • Jessica Paciorek ran unopposed and was elected to the position of Secretary

 

Growth Chair:

  • James Preciado and George Apostolopoulos tied for number of votes
  • It was decided to have both people share the position of Growth Chair

 

Publicity:

  • Thomas Paulmann ran unopposed and was elected to the position of Publicity Chair
